I’m nervous about moving away from home for the first time. What if I fail?

I remember this feeling like it was yesterday! I had lived in the same house for 18 years and change didn’t come easy. I was so excited to get out on my own, but I had no idea what it was like to move or adapt to a new city. While it isn’t super comforting, the only way we can figure out how to live on our own is by taking the first step.

I lived in my first apartment after my sophomore year in college; I was excited to get out of the dorm, but pretty nervous to truly live on my own. But God continued to provide! I remember some of the big mistakes that year, but I also remember the joy that came from realizing I could do it. Did I still want to go home sometimes? YES! But I continued to trust that God would take care of me and bring the right people to surround me when I wasn’t sure which way to go.
