In the podcast “Uncommon Commentary with Carol & Cory,” the popular term “essential” is discussed. In these days of uncertainty, the demand for “normal” is highly craved. We are now limited to where we can go, if we can work or what we can buy. During this pandemic, if you are an essential worker, you are greatly appreciated and are blessed. Thank you to the health care workers, food providers and first responders. 

Let us not forget about the parents’ and teachers’ essential roles during this time. If you are currently a student, you probably forgot that physical teachers actually exist. Parents are now taking up the role of teachers and have added a new and critical role to raising their children. In times of honoring essential workers, we should all find a way to be an essential human being during this pandemic. Let’s all work really hard at loving others and checking in virtually.
