Clothing should be fun for us to wear! That’s the fun of fashion—you can enjoy what you wear. So, have some fun and search for items that have different textures than what you would normally choose. 

 A fun way to change up clothing textures is to buy corduroy. It never goes out of style! Buy some nice corduroy pieces, and you’ll be rocking them for the next 10 years! 

Take a corduroy skirt and pair it with tights and a sweater. You can pair corduroy with jeans as well—a corduroy jacket with a pair of jeans is always a good look. And guess what? Corduroy can be rocked by a guy or girl!

Any outfit immediately takes a step up when you add a little velvet, and velvet always shows up at thrift stores. You can buy a velvet dress and dress it up or down. How fun! 

I found so many suede tops walking through the aisles of thrift stores. Guys, take a suede top and pair it with jeans or khakis and you’ll automatically be 10 times more stylin’ than the old button-down. 

Trying different clothing textures is a fun and easy way to change things up a little and make a statement. It’s a perfect excuse to get your friends together and go search through the racks at your nearest Salvation Army thrift store!
