Mr. West is no stranger to the contemporary Christian music scene. He popped on the scene in the late 90s as an independent artist and started making waves pretty fast! After releasing a few indie albums, he would later sign with Universal South and release an album titled “Happy.” This album would later learn him a Dove Award and multiple nominations, as well as his first number-one single, “More.”

Matthew is not only an artist but an excellent songwriter. He has written for established Christian acts such as Natalie Grant, “Casting Crowns,” Mandisa and “Point of Grace.” He has also written for country artists such as “Rascal Flatts,” Vince Gill and Billy Ray Cyrus. Matthew has also done some acting! You might recognize him from his appearances in a few Christian TV shows in 2009. In 2011, he made his film debut appearing on Gary Wheeler‘s Christian film “The Heart of Christmas,” co-starring Candace Cameron Bure. Matthew’s current album is titled, “All In.” This album takes a look at the journey of the Christian walk and what it means to wholeheartedly follow Christ, to truly be “All In”!

Travis Greene

When I first heard Travis Greene’s song “You Made A Way,” I was instantly drawn in. It started with a simple guitar pattern and vocals repeating the words, “you made a way!” As the lyrics began to elaborate on this sediment, the instrumentation did too, using a drum cadence, keys and even a choir! Truly love this song.

Devon Gilfillian

Devon Gilfillian is one of my favorite new artists. His style is a beautiful blend of retro-rock and neo-soul. Though it may take you some time to learn how to pronounce his last name, I have a feeling you will fall in love with his music pretty easily. Check him out at Devongilfillian.com and his latest single, “Get Out and Get it!”
