Ask an Officer

Adulthood seems scary. How can I be sure that I’m prepared?

Adulthood can be scary at times, but when you put your full trust in God, then it is not as scary. There were many times in life when I wasn’t sure how I would survive. BUT GOD. When going to college, I thought I wanted to work in criminal justice, but that was not the case. I found out through tutoring classmates that my passion was teaching so I switched majors. And even now in adulthood, I am an officer! You don’t always know where you will end up but when you trust God and follow His callings, it all turns out how it should. This doesn’t always mean it will be easy, but it is always worth it! My biggest advice to those who aren’t sure what to do with life after high school: go to community college and take some general courses until you figure out what exactly you want to do. That way, when you decide, you can fully focus on your passion.
