Anyone binging superhero movies while social distancing? In the midst of this pandemic, remember the One who’s the greatest hero of all. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Who’s your favorite superhero?

“Katniss Everdeen from ‘The Hunger Games’ because she’s not afraid to stand up to a government that makes people compete in a life-or-death battle.”

Amber, 27
Milton, FL

“‘Iron Man’ because he did the one thing my father could never bring himself to do—getting clean. Robert Downey Jr. was a drug addict, but his role as Iron Man changed his life. I look up to him, because he did what I thought was impossible. He’s amazing in his movies—being as rich as he was; he never backed down from a fight. He stood up for his family and friends.”

Makayla, 19
Baird, TX

“‘Green Lantern’ because he was the first black superhero that made me feel inspired.”

Austin, 25
Waukesha, WI

“‘Supergirl’ because she is bold and fearless, and represents all girls.”

Leslie, 18
Washburn, TN

“My favorite superhero (and I use that term as loosely as he would) is Oliver Queen: The ‘Green Arrow’ because he is very flawed and makes mistakes. His story is one of redemption, which is something we can all identify with. He finds redemption through helping and protecting the people of Star City, much as we find redemption through Christ.”

Fred, 26
Wilmington, DE

“The ‘Flash,’ aka Barry Allen, because he has such a beautiful heart and is protective. He learned to change bad people to good people—for example, Leonard Snart, which is also my second favorite and first favorite villain-gone-good!”

Lee, 24
Toledo, OH
