Thrifted Room Décor
"Whenever you feel that your room or any part of your house needs some love, consider going to a thrift store."Whenever you feel that your room or any part of your house needs some love, consider going to a thrift store. I have two white shelves in my bedroom and was forced to figure out how to decorate them. After looking at some pictures on Pinterest for inspiration, I headed out to The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Astoria, Queens.
Since I originally didn’t know much about décor rules, I focused on grabbing small things that would combine with the colors in my room: white, beige and black. I was very happy with the variety the store had, and it was very easy to find what I was looking for. I bought porcelain figures of different heights and sizes to give some dimension to my shelves. I added some pictures and books and finally, I wanted to put a clock on to add a vintage touch. All this was complemented with some artificial plants that always give that cozy feel. I went home very happy with my purchase since everything was 50 percent off!
