Rating: PG for sequences of violence and peril, and some thematic elements.

Few celebrities are viewed as warmly and fondly as Fred Rogers. Known as a kind and caring man, there is no denying the impact Mister Rogers has had on people around the world.

“A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” shows Rogers on a small scale as he meets an investigative journalist with a troubled past. Tom Hanks fully leans into the role of Fred Rogers, trying his best to emulate his mannerisms and nature accurately. The plot isn’t complicated; however, the interesting design choices and camera work take a simple and meaningful story to a memorable place. At the core of the film is forgiveness, something that can be more difficult than we ever thought possible. It is however, something that God has shown us and something He wants us to extend to those who hurt us. When we ask God for forgiveness, He is faithful to do so. Too often we want to hold on to our anger, but remember what Paul says in Ephesians 4:32: “Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” When we forgive and love our neighbors as ourselves, it truly can be a beautiful day.

Ultraman

Rating: TV – 14
Network: Netflix

Set decades after the original Ultraman, Netflix’s “Ultraman” serves as a direct sequel to the classic Tokusatsu show. As malicious aliens begin to terrorize Japan, Shinjiro Hayata must become the new Ultraman. While the fights and flashy visuals are entertaining, the show is hampered by inappropriate language and suggestive content.
