No matter what Salvation Army thrift store you walk into, in whatever city, you will find at least one flannel. Is there anything that you can’t use a flannel for? Nope!

Being a college student for almost four years now has taught me that shopping in the women’s department alone in a thrift store will not cut it. I walked into the men’s section, and soon fell in love with collecting as many flannels as possible. I like getting them specifically in a large size to make them more comfortable.

I’ve found that you can wear a flannel with anything! Some of my favorite ways to use a flannel include: layered over a casual dress as a “sweater,” around my waist over a pair of leggings or with a V-Neck tee with jeans. However, my all-time favorite is over my pajamas for a girl’s night with my friends (don’t forget the face masks to match!). These examples do not even begin to cover all the ways you can use a flannel and make it a trend.

Girls: next time you are at the Salvation Army thrift store, do not pass up the men’s section. And guys: don’t skip on the flannels. You may find your new favorite game-changing outfit!
