In my search for songs about luck, I found “Lucky” by Chelsea Cutler and Alexander 23. If you like a modern pop sound, this song might suit you. The line repeated most in this song is “How lucky am I to love somebody?”

One of the most popular songs about luck is “Lucky” by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat, a well-known, easygoing song. This is a sweet duet about how great it feels to find the one. Although it came out in 2008, it should still be part of any “feeling good” playlist.

The Lucky Meaning Behind Your Favorite Songs

Around this time, you might be seeing four leaf clovers and green decorations in just about every store that you visit. It’s time to gear up for St. Patrick’s Day. Since I don’t usually celebrate this holiday, I thought I’d dive into some songs about luck. After all, we’ve all wished for a little good luck from time to time. I was intrigued to find that some of the top songs about luck show that it’s not all rainbows and sunshine. “Lucky” by Britney Spears and “The Lucky One (Taylor’s Version)” by Taylor Swift both talk about rising to stardom and being considered lucky by so many watching their lives from the outside. These songs show the duality of luck, highlighting that when things are seemingly perfect, people can still struggle internally. This is directly mirrored musically, as the songs are lighthearted, upbeat and dance-able, while the lyrics are distinctly more somber and reflective. Songs like these are absolutely fascinating to me because the true meaning can so easily be missed. This month, I challenge you to read the lyrics to some of your favorite songs. Are they about what you think they’re about? Find the true meaning!
