Acid Washing Thrifted Clothes
"Don’t be afraid to give it a try. It’s fun because everyone can design it to their liking and have a unique and original garment."
Acid washing has become one of the most popular trends since the COVID-19 pandemic began. During quarantine, people began to use this method using products that they already had at home. I always wanted to try it, but never did because I was afraid of ruining my clothes. But finally, I just had to go to a Salvation Army thrift store and get some pants, a shirt or sweatshirt to do this so that I wouldn’t potentially ruin something I already owned.

Acid-washed T-Shirts are the perfect solution for an otherwise boring T-Shirt. You can create a bold tie-dye effect with an old T-Shirt and a little bleach. Creating an acid-washed T-Shirt is easy. You can use a spray bottle to selectively distribute the bleach or use rubber bands and soak the shirt in a solution of bleach and water. Regardless of which option you choose, be sure to protect your eyes, skin, clothing and surfaces! Don’t be afraid to give it a try. It’s fun because everyone can design it to their liking and have a unique and original garment.
