We get it. This pandemic (and many other circumstances) may have affected your mental health. Some days, you don’t want to leave your bed. Here are seven things to add to your morning routine that can improve your everyday mood.
1. Drink A Glass Of Water.
Instead of that first cup of coffee in the morning, grab a glass of water instead. Not only does it rehydrate the body after a long night’s sleep, but it keeps the skin happy and healthy.
Before grabbing your phone, use this free time—even if only for five minutes—to catch up on any reading, prayer or devotionals.
Spend a few more minutes reflecting on the day ahead. Write out a gratitude list, any goals or simply any anxious thoughts you may be facing.
4. Wash Your Face.
It doesn’t have to be a fancy skincare routine. Throw some cold water on your face. Again, it rehydrates the skin and keeps it healthy.
You don’t have to do an entire yoga class from YouTube. Start with breathing techniques and stretches while the shower is heating up or when brushing your teeth. You’ll feel great.
6. Get Dressed(Like, Actually).
Staying in pajamas or yoga pants all day isn’t the most productive thing to do. Switch it up some days and put on a cute outfit.
7. Don’t Skip Breakfast
Don’t have time for breakfast? Grab a granola bar, pour a bowl of cereal or prepare something the night before so you can eat a balanced meal.
