You don’t have to have a significant other to enjoy Valentine’s Day! We all need a little more love in our lives. Here are some ways you can celebrate with those you love.

1. Exchange Valentines.
You don’t have to leave this tradition behind in elementary school. Try something creative, like digital cards that you create online or fun memes that show how much you care; or try creating your own using whatever materials you have around your room.

2. Go Out For A Friends Date.
Take advantage of the opportunity to dress up and go out on the for a fun meal with a group of friends. It doesn’t have to be super expensive to be fun! Pro tip: restaurants are slammed on Valentine’s Day so pick another day around the middle of the month to celebrate.

3. Watch Movies and Have Dessert.
Host a get-together and have everyone bring mini versions of their favorite dessert to share. Pick your favorite romantic comedy or check out something new on your favorite streaming app.

4. Do A Secret Valentines Exchange.
This fun game doesn’t have to happen only at Christmas. Set a $5 limit; sometimes, the lower limit really brings out the creativity and fun!

5. Treat Yourself.
Indulge in self-care. Try DIY manicures and pedicures, facials … pamper yourself. Face masks with friends are guaranteed laughter. Have a good time and enjoy laughing with friends and take care of yourself in the process.

6. Give Back.
Everyone needs love—and not just on Valentine’s Day. Maybe use this day as a reminder that there are those who are lonely and in need of community. Visit someone who has a hard time getting out or serve a meal at a local feeding program.
