Go Behind the Scenes of Disney in “Disneyland Handcrafted”
"This made me think about how our creative spirit is descended from God."Rating: TV-G | Platform: Disney+
Using archival footage from the park’s construction and development, “Disneyland Handcrafted” is a documentary that takes viewers on the journey from the legendary park’s initial architecture plans to opening day. It’s not a particularly exciting documentary, but it’s cool to have a window into the past and is interesting for anyone that enjoys history, craftmanship, or the park itself. I’ve made it no secret that I’m not the biggest fan of the mouse house, but I thought that the choice to exclusively use old footage and sound bites from those involved with the project was a nice touch. Nearly halfway through, I began to appreciate the dedication and hard work that the team of workers put into the park, from building the infrastructure to creating fake rocks, beautiful buildings, and even a fully functional boat. Nothing was done half-heartedly. Walt Disney had a vision; he wanted the park to be a special place for anyone to enjoy. This made me think about how our creative spirit is descended from God. He took time to shape the universe for Him and His creation to experience with joy. God called His creation “good” so be sure to give Him the praise that He is due (Genesis 1:31).

Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials
Rating: TV-14 | Platform: Netflix
What’s not to love about the 20s? Jazz, glamour, and of course, murder. Based on the novel of the same name, we meet Lady Eileen, who is hunting for the truth surrounding her friend’s death with conspiracy hidden all around. Other than some allusions to unsavory behavior and lifestyles, the show is surprisingly clean.
Mark Rober’s Crunch Labs (Season 2)
Rating: TV-PG | Platform: Netflix
Mark Rober shows off his engineering prowess in his tried-and-true style. This show is less traditional than most shows and more so a direct port from his YouTube content — from editing to the way certain angles were shot. If you’ve watched the channel, you’ve already seen the show.
