Growing up is different for everyone. Some people are popular, others are gifted and still, everyone struggles through it. Top that all off with school and you’ve got yourself a childhood. However, I doubt anyone has unknown superpowers to deal with. Enter Dion, a young kid born with extraordinarily-dangerous powers, and as his mother does her best to raise him, a threat to the world begins to brew.

“Raising Dion” is a great take on the superhero genre, enhancing the familial aspect of people with powers. How would parenting change if children had the power to drastically change the world, for better or worse? God knew the importance of parenting. Throughout Scripture, there are examples of both good and bad parents, and there are consequences of each. God is often portrayed as a parental figure: a loving Father, a protective hen, etc.

Proverbs 22:6 reads: “Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.” Raising children to follow after God is an important responsibility, even for those who aren’t parents. By Micah Trimmer

The Last Kids on Earth

Rating: TV-Y7

In a post-apocalyptic town full of zombies, monsters and other unpleasantries, four kids must use every trick to survive while having as much fun as possible. While it may not be the most complicated, well-executed or cerebral show on Netflix, “The Last Kids on Earth” is an entertaining adventure.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum

Rating: TV-PG

The eccentric Jeff Goldblum embarks on a journey to rediscover the mundane. From Nike shoes and tattoos to ice cream and denim, this National Geographic series uses an interesting composition style when exploring the cultural relevance of each subject, unlike shows of a similar nature.
