How Can Having Faith in God Make My Life Better?
"Faith is a steady conviction of the objective truth about who God is..."Having faith in God can make my life better because it helps provide and gain necessary perspective needed for life. To echo Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He has also set eternity in their heart…,” we are made in His image. Each person came out of the womb wondering and pondering what else is out there. Having faith in God connects those dots of intricacies and complexities of this universe on the macro scale. On the tangible, micro scale, having faith in God helps to provide a framework for why I was created. I am not wandering around aimlessly but rather I submit to the calling of God and living out the Kingdom. I do this by seeking Him. It does not always make my life easier, but it makes it better because I walk behind the Creator of the world and am surrounded by the Sovereign one who, as Job 5:9 says, “does great and unsearchable things, wonders without number.”
Faith is a steady conviction of the objective truth about who God is, and having faith in Him has made me better because it removes the worry about what life holds. It is replaced with confidence in a loving Holy One.

I’ve been feeling disconnected from my faith, and I don’t know why. How can I find it again and reconnect?
I think we have all been there! It can be so discouraging when we feel like we are doing everything right, but we still feel disconnected. While there can be a lot of reasons why we feel disconnected to God, sometimes we aren’t looking in the right place. We often forget that God is at work in the big things and things that may seem insignificant. Sometimes, like Elijah in 1 Kings 19, we are looking for God to pass by us like a giant wind, a mighty earthquake, or a fire, but God sometimes comes to us in a whisper.
For me, reconnecting to God is being outside in His creation. When I feel especially far from Him, I know it is time to go for a hike. Other times, reconnecting with Him can be finding the ways He is at work, listing what I am thankful for, listing out answers to prayers, etc. The beautiful thing about God is, that even when we feel disconnected from Him, He hasn’t left our side!
