I don’t know about you, but when I think about March, one of the first things that comes to mind is St. Patrick’s Day. While St. Patrick’s Day is for celebrating the patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick, it has also, at least in the U.S., become a day to celebrate all things Irish. I looked into the most popular Irish singers of all time. Some I’d heard of, like Niall Horan, Bono and Hozier, but I also found an artist who I hadn’t heard the name of before: Enya. Now, Enya is a very popular artist. In fact, she is the second best-selling Irish singer of all time and has been making music for decades. She holds many awards internationally, including four Grammy awards. How did I not know her name?! The first song of hers I immediately recognized was “Only Time,” released in 2000. This song has been used in several commercials, movies, Reels and TikTok videos. I promise you’ve heard it before. It shows off beautiful simplicity and lightness. Though it’s not one that you would turn on at a party, it’s lyrically contemplative, reminding us that only time can tell what is to come.

March brings us springtime, and there’s certain music that feels like it’s made for this season. Andy Grammer’s song, “Lease on Life,” is a perfect example. It’s a feel-good, positive song that’s so refreshing to listen to, reminding us beauty can come from darkness. That’s what spring is all about!

If all that’s on your mind this month is spring break, check out “Weekend Vibe” by Jubël. Lyrically, it’s not a very complex song, which is fitting since it’s all about the fun and freedom of the weekend. It’s one that would be perfect to add to your beach playlist
