I hope you are safe in this trying time! A different type of game that you could try in this quarantine is “Wartile.” A Norse-themed game, this has RPG elements that plays like a board game. You will embark on a quest that involves curing your village from a mysterious virus with mysterious origins. You will go to various locations and see some iconic locations from Norse myths.

The game is simple, and you will be able to pick up the essentials by the third level. Make sure to look around the game board, you will be able to see most of your encounters and plan accordingly. This will also let you see the level of detail that the developers added. The game will wrap you up in its fun pace and reward system.

“Wartile” does struggle in a key area with its genre. The level grind to get your characters stronger is rather boring. You can replay the same level with increasingly difficulty. Which, in this game, is simply adding a bunch of low tier infantry and a handful of higher tier. Once you complete the story the game offers little more in ways to keep entertained.

“Wartile” is a great game for quarantine, and it has a captivating story with rewarding combat mechanics. The game’s price truly reflects its worth ($20). I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a change of pace in your gaming. Its style and mechanics are welcoming to players that are not used to this genre of games.
