Peter Parker Begins a “Brand New Day”
"You are no longer bound to whatever sin held you captive, but in Christ, it truly is a 'Brand New Day.'”Rating: PG-13 | Platform: Theaters, Disney+
Four years after the entire world forgot Peter Parker, Spider-Man finds himself more popular than ever. The bad guys are stopped, civilians are saved, and at the end of the day, Peter’s still alone. When emerging mutations and an unseen enemy threaten the lives of the people he loves from a distance, Spider-Man must rise to the challenge. I’ve been critical of Marvel over the last few years, but I can happily say this is the best entry for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. The emotional stakes were gripping, the writing was solid and the veteran cast gives their best performance to date. One of the things that I love most about the film is that they commit to the consequences of the previous films; Peter can’t just revert back to the way things were and he can’t be stuck in the past. Similarly, when Christ saves us, He doesn’t want us to keep living in the same sin: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV). You are no longer bound to whatever sin held you captive, but in Christ, it truly is a “Brand New Day.”

Little House on the Prairie
Rating: TV-PG | Platform: Netflix
A modern remake of the classic program, “Little House on The Prairie” follows the Ingalls family as they try to start a new life for themselves in the West. Fans of the original show or family dramas may find this interesting.

Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender
Rating: PG | Platform: Paramount+
As Aang navigates the world after the 100-year war, a shocking discovery may be the key to restoring the air nomads. As a lifelong fan of the original series, this film is disappointing. While the animation is beautiful, the weak writing, poor dialogue and pacing issues create a shockingly superficial product.
