You loved. You cared. You spent so much time in a relationship for it to just end. There isn’t a magical, permanent solution to heartbreak. Allow yourself to feel the feelings. Let yourself take the proper time to nurture and heal your broken heart. Don’t rush this process. Turn to your support system, reflect inwardly, and above all, turn to Jesus. He can heal a broken heart and redeem you to a more well-rounded version of yourself. He won’t restore you to the person you were before the heartbreak but rather let the healed scars continue to shape you into a stronger version of yourself — the person you’re meant to be.

As you turn to Jesus amidst heartbreak, let the words of God offer wisdom and encouragement for a path of hope and healing.

2 Corinthians 1:3 (NLT)

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.”

Matthew 5:4 (NIV)

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

Romans 8:28 (NIV)

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Psalm 55:22 (NLT)

“Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.”

Psalm 46:1-2 (NLT)

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.”

Psalm 147:3 (NIV)

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Matthew 11:28 (NLT)

“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.’”

Revelation 21:4 (NLT)

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
